soul-food

soul: n. the spiritual or immaterial part of a human being or animal, regarded as immortal

food: n. the material that people and animals eat: material containing carbohydrates, fats, proteins, and supplements (as minerals and vitamins) that is taken in and used in the living body for growth and repair and as a source of energy for activities.

this poses the question when put together:

What am i ingesting on a daily/weekly/monthly level that nourishes and feeds my SOUL- the immortal parts of me; the things that last and carry on long after i fade into the next room of life…

relationship. prayer. poetry. journaling. inspired gatherings. meaty conversation. meditation. engaging in music. lyrics that strike a cord on a soul level in my heart. labyrinth meanderings. peaceful trance states. worship. nature. stillness. touching trees. grounding. creating with my hands. spending more time in my imagination. digging deep.

my soul eats these things up.

the continual challenge before me is freeing up more time for not only what feeds me, but animates me-brings me to life!
